My name is Felicia Adewumi Adesina. I am 20 years old. I am from Brooklyn, New York. I am a junior, currently attending The College of Staten Island. I am working on becoming a Physical Therapist in the future. I love to travel, dance, and plan events. I attend The Apostolic Church Glorious Vision, Brooklyn Assembly. I am proud to be one of the youth leaders in my church. I love motivating and inspiring young females like me. I am honored to be representing Osun State in this year’s Miss Nigeria Independence pageant.

My name is Rafat Ibrahim. I am a 22 year old with plenty of ambition. I was born in New Brunswick, NJ, but I am still a true Yoruba girl at heart. I graduated from Kean University with a Bachelor in Public Administration. Fashion and business have always been my interest, ever since I was a child. Moving forward in life, I am accomplishing my dreams little by little each day. I pray to open up my own business and achieve greater heights in life.

My Name is Amenaghawon Owie and I will be representing the beautiful Edo State. I’m a proud Nigerian in America. My parents always told me I would learn to love and appreciate my name but I couldn’t envision that as a small child growing up in America with an eleven-letter name. Today, that eleven letter name is the Foundation to my career. I am an aspiring entertainer. I decided to be apart of this year’s pageant in hopes of aligning myself with a Nigerian based organization that focuses on the Advancement of Nigeria and our Nigerian People here in America.

I was born and raised in Nigeria until I came to America at the age of 6. Being raised in Nigeria has transformed me into the woman I am today. The encounter I’ve had with people in Nigeria is one of the driving forces in my decision to study medicine. I was also inspired to start my own organization whose goal is to improve the healthcare and literacy of children and women in Nigeria. In the years to come, I hope to become an established doctor and change the healthcare system in Nigeria.

I am currently working as a digital marketing professional for a fortune 500 Company. I am a dance enthusiast and have been dancing unprofessionally since high school. I am excited to be your Ms Benin City for the 2017 Miss Nigeria Independence pageant.
